BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 22% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Although Preston Williams has featured heavily in Miami's start of the season (he only trails DeVante Parker with 235 to the WR1's 255 snaps), he has been a little bit disappointing in terms of production. In five play, although Williams is the WR2 of the Dolphins in PPR points, he's been outperformed by all of Parker, TE Mike Gesicki, and RB Myles Gaskin while WR Isaiah Ford is inching closer to him too.
That was until Week 5 arrived and Preston Williams put on a true show at the wideout position. Preston had his best game of the year against San Francisco, racking up 20.6 PPR points after not even getting to 9.0 points in any of the prior four weeks. Williams caught 4-of-5 targets for 106 yards and scored a TD for Miami, finishing as the overall 30th-best player of the week and WR11. Not bad for a 9.1 PPG average on the season, right?
The truth is, Williams is probably neither a 9-point player, or a 20+ one, but rather something in the middle. Parker will hold onto the WR1 role forever, and Isaiah Ford is too volatile in terms of performance as to truly snatch the WR2 role from Williams.
As long as QB Ryan Fitzpatrick stays as the starter, Williams is a sound WR3/FLEX addition for deep-league GMs, with upside to enter the WR2 realm if it clicks for him as it did last weekend.
