Welcome to Week 9 of the NFL Season! Each week, I'll be bringing you our famous NFL DFS Cheat Sheet with expert research and picks for cash games and GPPs. Here are a few notes about the sheet.
- We are officially now using 2023 DATA!
- Green means GO (good for the player) while red reflects a poor rating/matchup. The more green, the better...
- In fact, CASH CORE pieces are highlighted with BRIGHT GREEN highlighter on the chart for extra emphasis.
- The "fantasy points allowed rank" reflects how a player's opponent ranked in fantasy points allowed to their specific position. The lower the number, the better the matchup.
- Passing and Rushing game matchups are once again DVOA ratings as I regained access to that metric and I find it to be super helpful.
- A play labeled "cash" is a higher-owned play that is recommended for cash games. A "strong" play is playable in all formats. "Slate-breakers" are some of my favorite GPP targets for upside or reduced ownership.
- Vegas and risk columns will all be updated during the week to reflect injury info, weather info, and the most recent Vegas info.

This is where I want to give you some other players who will be in my player pool, who didn't make the cut for the cheat sheet. Week 9 DFS Slate Notes
Sunday Morning Updates: (Updated 7:15 EST Sunday 11/5)
One small change in the core for FanDuel - I am moving Chuba Hubbard in there for Kareem Hunt. Jerome Ford is healthy and will split carries with Hunt. Hubbard is also in a timeshare with Miles Sanders but is likely to be the big half.
Running back is a nightmare on this slate as we now have a chalky Devin Singletary to deal with, too. I do not trust him or the Texans running game enough to put into my cash games and I don't want to always match ownership ALL the time. If he burns me, he burns me. But there is so much "fishy chalk" on this slate that I am going to play lighter in cash and heavier in GPPs.
I am playing some Jonathan Taylor and some Zack Moss, one of them is going to have a big day.
Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are both chalk, and while I have been on them for several weeks I think this is the week to pivot to Dak - CeeDee Lamb. I also like pairing a chalky Giants Defense with Saquon Barkley as I believe in the Giants more than I do the Raiders who just fired their entire staff.
The Rams are a tough case because they start their backup QB and I wanted to play their running game. I think I still will use Henderson and Freeman at very low ownership. Atlanta is going with Taylor Heinecke under center this week which theoretically upgrades their receivers, but I am still mainly on the Vikings' defense, which is playing well.
One guy who I omitted earlier in the week was David Njoku because I didn't think Deshuan Watson would be back this week and now he is. I like Njoku and he's projected as the third-highest owned TE on this slate. I am still not going overboard with Cleveland's passing game, but I do think you can take some shots on Amari Cooper and others as Watson presents a significant upgrade over PJ Walker.
This slate is pretty wonky, so I wouldn't hesitate to get pretty weird with lineups as the range of outcomes is pretty wide in my opinion.
FAVORITE GAME STACKS:
PHI-DAL: Prescott-Lamb-Swift (also consider: Brown, Goedert)
IND-CAR: Young-Thielen-Taylor (also consider: Moss, Pittman Jr.)
BAL-SEA: Jackson-Andrews-Flowers (also consider: Edwards)
