On Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session for this weekend's The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway. This qualifying session consisted of two rounds.
The first round was split into two groups, and the five fastest drivers from each group advanced to the second round.
