Zay Jones Disappoints On Sunday
6 years agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Zay Jones took a step back Sunday, turning in a disappointing performance against the Indianapolis Colts. The young receiver was targeted five times, and managed to grab three of those for 27 yards. It had seemed like Jones was breaking out as the Bills No. 1 receiver the past few weeks. So, what changed? Enter Derek Anderson. Jones had been working to build a relationship with Josh Allen. When he went down the Bills got Kelvin Benjamin’s old teammate in Anderson. Benjamin is probably a more comfortable target for him, so while Anderson is under center Jones may see a decrease in targets per game. He can still be looked at as a risky WR4 option when Allen returns under center.
