Zay Flowers Has Played All Three WR Positions This Offseason
1 year agoBaltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers was selected with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, meaning the team clearly expects him to be involved right away. In an interview on The Lounge podcast, Flowers said he has been playing all three wide receiver positions this offseason. "That's what I want. That's exactly what I want," Flowers said. "As long as I'm touching the ball, I feel like I can make a play from anywhere, no matter where it is." Versatility is never a bad thing for a receiver's fantasy football outlook, so it's a promising development. The Boston College product will start his career with plenty of target competition in Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Odell Beckham Jr., but the latter two have had plenty of injury issues over the last couple of seasons. That said, Flowers could find himself as a top-two option in the new-look Ravens offense led by offensive coordinator Todd Monken and quarterback Lamar Jackson. He has a wide range of fantasy football outcomes for his rookie campaign.
