Zack Wheeler Ready For Season After Lengthy Spring Outing
6 years agoThis past Wednesday, New York Mets starter Zack Wheeler threw 91 pitches in a minor league start, appearing ready for the new season. The 28-year-old tossed seven scoreless innings, striking out six along the way. Wheeler is expected to make one last Spring start on Monday before making his season debut next weekend in Washington against the Nationals. Considering this is his free agent season, excitement should be considerable over what the right-hander has in store this season. Wheeler is coming off a career year, having posted a 12-7 record with a 3.31 ERA in 2018.
