Zack Wheeler Posts Quality Start, Gets No-Decision
6 years agoWhile the New York Mets walked off in victory Tuesday night, starter Zack Wheeler did enough to earn a win. The 28-year-old went seven, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out six. A pair of home runs conceded were a major factor in his performance. Wheeler went down early thanks to a second-inning home run and after his club tied the game, his two runs surrendered in the seventh put him down again. In the same inning, however, the Mets took the lead only for the bullpen to cough that up. While his record remains 3-3, his ERA now stands at 4.74.
