Zack Wheeler Goes Seven Strong Innings In Defeat
6 years agoThe New York Mets dropped their second consecutive game in Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon, but it wasn't because of starting pitcher Zack Wheeler. The 28-year-old went seven innings, allowing just three runs on five hits and three walks. Two home runs were responsible for the final two runs he allowed, as his offense failed to get going until the latter stages of the ballgame. The loss moves Wheeler's record to 1-2 while his ERA now stands at 6.35. His next start is scheduled for Tuesday, once again against the Phillies, but this time at Citi Field.
