Zack Wheeler Dominates Marlins on Friday
6 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Zack Wheeler won his fifth straight start on Friday against the Miami Marlins. Wheeler fired seven innings, allowing just two runs on four hits to go along with eight strikeouts. The young righty has lowered his ERA from 4.44 to 3.82 in his last four starts and has gone at least six innings in his past five. Wheeler was part of trade rumors at the deadline, but it appears that the Mets may have made the right decision to hold onto the 28-year-old who is having his best season since 2014. He will line up to pitch against the Baltimore Orioles in his next start.
