Zack Wheeler Allows One Run In No-Decision
5 years agoThe New York Mets lost a fifth consecutive game Thursday afternoon, but starter Zack Wheeler certainly wasn't to blame. The 29-year-old went six strong innings, allowing just one run and two hits, with the run coming off a solo home run in the sixth. Wheeler struck out seven and walked two, making this his second consecutive start of at least six innings and just one run allowed. Wheeler's issue remains consistency, as he's capable of going on stretches like this one, only to later fall back and struggle during other stretches. His record remains 6-5 while his ERA now stands at 4.51.
