Zack Short Moving Up To Leadoff Spot Tuesday
1 year agoDetroit Tigers utility player Zack Short will move up to the leadoff spot Tuesday night when he takes on Kansas City Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch. The Tigers are stacking right-handed bats on Tuesday with all nine of their starters swinging from the right side. Normally regarded as a glove-first player, Short has had a solid season at the plate with a .253 average, three homers, one steal, and a .723 OPS across 88 trips to the plate. He does his best work against lefties as he is hitting .333 with a .991 OPS against southpaws this season, although he still owns a modest .632 OPS in his career against lefties. However, Short's improvement at the plate this season makes him a nice streaming/DFS option, especially out of the leadoff spot on Tuesday.
