Zack Martin Holdout Showing No Signs Of Ending
1 year agoDallas Cowboys six-time All-Pro offensive guard Zack Martin has been holding out as he demands a salary closer to the top of the position. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones shows no interest in giving it to him. Jones told reporters he treats Martin's absence as he would treat any other absence that might happen due to injury. "There are huge, significant ramifications happening here by anybody's measure, financially. So you realize that not having him here, it could happen (via injury) on the next play. You got to put that one on and say you just move on here without him. You say that sounds like a concern," he said. Martin earned a PFF grade of 72.8 last season, the ninth-highest amongst guards, and his absence would cause a downgrade to a consensus top-ten offensive line.
