Zack Littell Traded By Rangers To Red Sox
2 years agoRelief pitcher Zack Littell has been traded by the Texas Rangers to the Boston Red Sox on Friday. The right-hander hasn't appeared in the big leagues this season but turned in a 2.25 ERA and a big-time 29.2% K-BB% across eight appearances with Triple-A Round Rock before moving on to the Red Sox organization. Littell does have a solid chunk of big-league experience under his belt as he's worked to a reasonable 4.08 ERA and 13.7% K-BB% across 145 career appearances between the Twins and Giants, all but four of which have come out of the bullpen. With relievers Kutter Crawford and Joely Rodriguez along with Garrett Whitlock and James Paxton all currently on the injured list, Littell could get a shot with the Red Sox bullpen out of the gate.
