Zack Gelof Crushes First Long Ball Of 2024
7 months agoOakland Athletics second baseman Zack Gelof had a dominant day at the plate on Sunday, going 4-5 with nine total bases. Gelof wasted no time hitting an RBI triple in the top of the first to score Abraham Toro and then would eventually cross home plate off a JJ Bleday single. In the second, Gelof launched his first home run of the season to score Ryan Noda and Toro once again. The 24-year-old then knocked a single in both the seventh and ninth innings to cap off the day. This is a positive sign for fantasy managers as Gelof entered this game sporting an underwhelming .156/.289/.219 stat line. Gelof will look to stay hot as he takes on the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, with Nathan Eovaldi tentatively scheduled to be on the bump.
