Zach Wilson Won’t Be Shopped Next Offseason
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is not expected to be shopped during the upcoming offseason, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Recently, head coach Robert Saleh said, "We're not going to quit on him." Similarly, Rapoport writes that Wilson will "remain in [the] team's plans in Year 3." The BYU product and former No. 2 pick has struggled in his second pro season, completing just 54.5 percent of passes for 1,688 yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions. While it looks like Wilson will be part of the Jets' 2023 plans, he won't play a role for the remainder of 2022. Mike White will start in Weeks 17 and 18, Flacco will back him up, and Wilson will be inactive.
