Zach Wilson Reaches Agreement With Dolphins
50 seconds agoFormer Denver Broncos quarterback Zach Wilson reached an agreement on Monday on a one-year, $6 million fully guaranteed deal with the Miami Dolphins that can grow to $10 million, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Wilson will return to the AFC East after he was taken second overall by the New York Jets in 2021 out of BYU. The 25-year-old flamed out in New York in his three seasons in the Big Apple before serving as the Broncos' No. 3 signal-caller last year behind rookie sensation Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham. The Broncos re-signed Stidham as their backup, leaving Wilson to sign with the Dolphins as insurance behind the injury-prone Tua Tagovailoa. Tyler Huntley, who spent the 2024 season as the backup to Tagovailoa in Miami, is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Dolphins will be in a dire situation if Wilson is forced to make starts for them in 2025.
