Zach Werenski Could Return On Thursday To Face Utah
14 seconds agoAccording to Jeff Svoboda of the Columbus Blue Jackets, defenseman Zach Werenski (undisclosed) could return to the starting lineup on Thursday evening to face the Utah Hockey Club. Svoboda noted that the Norris Trophy candidate was a full participant during Thursday's morning skate, which is a positive sign. Werenski sat out during their previous game on Tuesday evening against the Buffalo Sabres. Before the injury, Werenski tallied 17 points (six goals, 11 helpers) over his last 15 contests. Overall, the 27-year-old has enjoyed a career season as he has found the back of the net 17 times and added 40 helpers with 92 blocked shots. His 57 points have already tied a previous career-best. If Werenski were to miss his second straight contest, fantasy managers should expect Ivan Provorov to operate as the power-play QB1.
