Zach Thompson Only Gets Through Four Innings On Monday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Zach Thompson only made it through four innings in Monday's start against the San Diego Padres. In his four innings of work, he allowed four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out just two. He was facing a tough Padres lineup, but Thompson certainly did not make things easier on himself, throwing 75 pitches, just 42 for strikes. He'll take a still solid 3.09 ERA into his next start and hope for better command and the better results that tend to come with it.
