Zach Plesac Headed To IL
4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac is headed to the 10-day IL with a non-displaced fracture in his right thumb, according to Mandy Bell. Plesac apparently fractured the finger while aggressively ripping his shirt off and getting it caught on a chair by his locker. There is currently no timetable for his return. This is yet another blow to an Indians staff that has already had to send two starters down to AAA in Logan Allen and Triston McKenzie in recent weeks. Plesac has had some troubles in 2021 but was still a solid arm for most fantasy teams as he had a 4.14 ERA and 1.02 WHIP before this injury.
