Zach Neto Has Yet To Resume Baseball Activities
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto (oblique) isn't experiencing any pain or discomfort in his injured left oblique but has yet to resume baseball activities, according to MLB.com. The Angles want to take it slow with the rookie, who landed on the injured list on June 15 after leaving his last game on June 14 early with side cramps. Neto hopes to begin throwing on June 30, but there is still no timetable for his return. Before the ailment, the 22-year-old was slashing .259/.338/.431 with six homers, 24 runs, 22 RBI, and five stolen bases across 55 contests. Fantasy managers can expect David Fletcher to keep getting most of the reps at short. His fantasy value almost doesn't exist after he hit .255 with just two long balls and one steal in 2022 and is hitting .222 over 11 games this season.
