3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz didn't do much in terms of production in Week 1, but there were some encouraging signs regardless. Ertz ran 23 receiving routes, only three fewer than starter Dallas Goedert. Granted, Goedert turned his routes into four catches and a touchdown while Ertz was only thrown to twice, but the near even split on the field shows that Ertz is likely still going to be a part of this offense. Week 2 will be against a much tougher San Francisco 49ers defense, so seeing how the tight ends are used when the Eagles aren't nursing a lead for the whole second half should be interesting.
