Zach Eflin’s Quality Start Not Enough In Miami
7 years agoTaking on the Miami Marlins Tuesday night, Philadelphia Phillies starter Zach Eflin did more than enough to earn a result. The 24-year-old, who was making his season debut after spending the first month of the year at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, went six innings, surrendering just one run on three hits. Eflin struck out four batters and didn’t walk a single man, tossing just 72 pitches before getting the hook. Unfortunately for him, his offense only mustered one run all game, as the affair eventually went beyond nine innings. Ultimately, the Phillies lost in 10 innings by the score of 2-1.
