Zach Eflin 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: High-Floor Starting Pitcher Option
4 mins agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Zach Eflin started the 2024 season with the Tampa Bay Rays before being dealt in late July. After owning a 4.09 ERA in 19 starts for the Rays, Eflin had much better success in the final two months of the season with the Orioles. The right-hander had a 2.60 ERA across nine starts in Baltimore to end the year. The 30-year-old pitcher won't be the sexiest pick in your fantasy drafts this season. He had just a 19.6% strikeout rate and a 21.6% whiff rate last year. However, he doesn't walk many batters and will go deep into games. Eflin pitched into the sixth inning in 22 of 28 starts in 2024. Therefore, he will be a high-floor starting pitcher option in the mid-to-late rounds. He has finished with under a 4.10 ERA in three consecutive seasons while walking under 25 batters in five straight years. Pitching for the Orioles should also result in a lot of wins for him. RotoBaller has Eflin ranked 154th in rotisserie leagues and 159th in points leagues in 2025.
