7 months agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Zac Veen (back, hand) was activated off the seven-day injured list on Tuesday and returned to Double-A Hartford after recovering from a lower-back strain. Veen, 22, was supposed to play on Tuesday, but he was scratched before the game due to an illness. On Wednesday, he was in the lineup as the leadoff man while starting in left field for Hartford. While on his rehab assignment, Veen went 4-for-7 with a double and three RBI in three games in the Arizona Complex League, while going 4-for-17 with a double and three RBI in five games for High-A Spokane. The team's No. 5 prospect and No. 83 overall in baseball, per MLB Pipeline, The 22-year-old has hit .320/.409/.550 with a .959 OPS, five homers, 12 RBI and nine steals in 29 games for Hartford this year and is in play to make his major-league debut later this season for the Rockies.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
