Zac Lowther Pitches Well, Takes No-Decision Monday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Zac Lowther looked sharp in his return to the big-league team in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Royals. Lowther pitched 6 innings, allowing one run on three hits (including a solo home run) and two walks with two strikeouts. It was the 25-year-old's first appearance with the O's since the beginning of July, as he had been working back from a left shoulder strain he sustained in Triple-A Norfolk. He now owns a 6.91 ERA over a small 14 1/3 IP sample with the O's. It remains to be seen when he will make his next appearance, but Saturday's upcoming double header against the Blue Jays at home would make sense. Either way, fantasy managers should steer clear of Lowther for now.
