Zac Gallen Strikes Out Seven In Return From IL
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen struck out seven batters over 5 1/3 innings while limiting the Cubs to one run on three hits and two walks in a 4-2 loss Saturday. Gallen did not factor into the decision in his first start since coming off the injured list, after he landed there on July 2 due to a hamstring injury. He's had several injuries that have sidelined him this season, but when he's healthy he's posted a 3.86 ERA and 27.3 percent strikeout rate over 46 2/3 innings of work. Assuming he can remain healthy, he could have a bounce-back performance in the second half of the season.
