Yu-Min Lin Strikes Out 10 Across Five Innings On Thursday
8 months agoArizona Diamondbacks pitching prospect Yu-Min Lin tallied 10 punchouts across five innings in a no-decision result on Thursday. Lin also allowed seven hits and one free pass, giving up four earned runs. The southpaw is ranked as the fourth-best prospect in the Diamondbacks system and is currently riding a 5.63 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across eight innings in Double-A this season. He has 15 total strikeouts. Lin posted much stronger numbers last season with a 3.86 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 121 1/3 innings with 140 strikeouts across two levels of the minor leagues. If Lin can bounce back and deliver a few strong performances, he could earn a late-season call-up to the desert as the Diamondbacks eye another postseason run. Lin should be left for dynasty leagues for now, but if he reaches Triple-A, he could become worth stashing in deeper redraft formats.
