Yu Darvish Wins With An Assist From Slam Diego
4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Yu Darvish earned his fifth victory Sunday against the Seattle Mariners, tossing seven innings of one-run baseball. The right-hander navigated around seven hits to yield one earned run, managing a tight contest until the Friars blew it open with seven runs combined in the sixth and seventh inning. Darvish fanned five on the afternoon. The 34-year-old continues to be a rock in the Padres rotation, owning a marvelous 1.75 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 31 percent strikeout rate over 61 ⅔ frames (10 starts). He's permitted two or fewer runs in all but one outing. The fantasy ace will get the Houston Astros on the road this Friday.
