3 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto was transferred to the 60-day IL on Saturday. Brent Honeywell, who was successfully claimed off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates, will be put on the 40-man roster in Yamamoto's place and is expected to be active Sunday. Yamamoto is ineligible to return until August 15, but returning that soon is probably too optimistic as the Japanese righty just began a throwing program Saturday and would likely need to make a few rehab starts before rejoining the club. Honeywell pitched just three-and-a-third innings for Pittsburgh this season.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
