Yoshinobu Yamamoto Strikes Out Seven On Friday
6 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto turned in a quality start in a 2-1 win over the New York Yankees on Friday. Yamamoto tossed seven innings of shutout ball while allowing just two hits, striking out seven, and walking two but had to settle for a no-decision in the 11-inning game. Yamamoto has been excellent in his first season in MLB, posting a 6-2 record, 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 83 strikeouts across 72 innings of work. He will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled for Thursday at home against the Texas Rangers.
