Yordan Alvarez Scratched From Tuesday's Lineup
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (finger) has been scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup against the Boston Red Sox. Alvarez is dealing with an injured left index finger after he reportedly slammed it in a door on Tuesday. The organization is considering the injury as minor. The expectation is that Alvarez is going to return to action on Wednesday. In the meantime, Yainer Diaz will bat cleanup and serve as the designated hitter versus right-hander Tanner Houck on Tuesday.
