Yordan Alvarez Out Of The Lineup Against O's
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez is taking the day off on Wednesday against the visiting Baltimore Orioles. Yainer Diaz will serve as the team's designated hitter and bat sixth, while Jake Meyers draws the start in center field and is hitting eighth against Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish. It appears to just be a normal day off for Alvarez, who is hitting a strong .293/.409/.579 with a .987 OPS, 28 home runs, 93 RBI and 70 runs scored for the 'Stros in 375 at-bats this year. The two-time All-Star has had some injuries that have kept him out in 2023, but he's been a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's on the field. The 26-year-old lefty slugger is hitting .345 (30-for-87) with seven homers, six doubles, 25 RBI and 13 runs scored in 24 starts in the last 28 days.
