3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez capped off a strong night at the plate with a walk-off double against the White Sox on Friday, securing a 2-1 victory. Alvarez finished the evening 3-for-4, coming through with a ninth-inning hit off of White Sox reliever Garrett Crochet. The 24-year-old masher has returned to his 2019 Rookie of the Year form after only appearing in two games in 2020 with nine home runs, 36 RBI and a .310/.363/.519 slash line. The power has been a little light this season, but Alvarez remains an elite fantasy option in a strong Astros lineup.--Patrick Doris
