Yonny Chirinos To Start Again For Braves On Wednesday
1 year agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Yonny Chirinos will make his second start for the team this Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. Chirinos didn't have a great debut for Atlanta last Friday, allowing four runs on six hits while walking one and striking out three in just 3 2/3 innings, but he'll get at least one more start this week. The 29-year-old Venezuelan probably isn't going to go very deep in this one and has only struck out 34 hitters in 66 1/3 innings of work in 2023 over 16 appearances (five starts) for the Braves and Tampa Bay Rays, so there isn't much fantasy upside here. The Angels are also a more formidable matchup for fantasy purposes given their recent acquisitions of first baseman C.J. Cron and outfielder Randal Grichuk.
