6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Yonny Chirinos (forearm) was activated from the disabled list Monday. He was then optioned to Triple-A Durham. He's been out since late April due to a mild right flexor tendon strain. It sounds like he is getting closer to a return. He's posting a 3.71 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 24/9 K/BB ratio in 26 2/3 innings this season. Chirinos is not worth holding or stashing in any leagues, but once he's healthy, he could become a reliable fantasy option in deeper leagues.--Jamie Mellor
