7 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher prospect Yohander Mendez will start against the Rockies on Friday as Matt Moore is moved to the bullpen. Mendez owns a 5.26 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 51 innings in Triple-A this season. Mendez was once a highly-rated prospect in the Rangers organization but has flamed out since and is not a recommended fantasy option just yet. Moore has been horrible this season to the tune of a 7.88 ERA and 2.04 WHIP and should not have been owned even before the demotion. Mendez is a name to keep an eye on but is a very risky start at home versus the Rockies.--Feldman Zach
