Yoenis Cespedes Undergoes Surgery, Out For Season
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (ankle) underwent surgery on his broken ankle on Thursday, the Mets announced. Cespedes broke his ankle in two places in an accident on his ranch while on the injured list following heel surgery in the offseason. After playing only 38 games last year, 2019 will be a lost season for the former All-Star outfielder. Cespedes can safely be dropped in all formats at this point, and you will want to proceed cautiously in regards to the Mets slugger heading into the 2020 season as well.
