3 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (leg) is a late scratch from the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. Josh Harrison will now be covering third base in the game. Moncada felt discomfort in his leg during this past Thursday's game and the injury is still nagging him. However, manager Tony La Russa stated that Moncada will be available off the bench for Saturday's game. The 26-year-old has only appeared in nine games so far this year, but he's already launched a pair of home runs while slashing .200/.256/.350. It sounds as if there's a good chance he'll be back in the starting lineup for at least one of the games in the team's doubleheader on Sunday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
