Yimi Garcia Earns Save Saturday Against Mets
4 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Yimi Garcia earned the save on Saturday, striking out one while retiring the side in order to secure a 3-0 victory over the Mets. There had been talk that Garcia could be in line for save opportunities after two blown saves in three appearances from Anthony Bass, and after Saturday's outing it looks like Garcia could get more ninth inning work in the near future. Garcia has allowed one run on two hits and two walks in five innings of work now this year, and has four strikeouts in that span. If you're looking for saves, you should make sure to target Garcia on the waiver-wire as it looks like he'll have the job until he loses it.
