Yimi Garcia Earns His Eighth Save On Wednesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins closer Yimi Garcia earned his eighth save of the season in Wednesday's win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Garcia had to get four outs, pitching the last 1 1/3 innings of the game. He allowed two hits but also struck out two, throwing 22 pitches (16 strikes) to deliver another win for rookie starter Trevor Rogers. Garcia has a 1.53 ERA and only one blown save despite some truly concerning underlying numbers. He'll continue as the Marlins closer, but may be a prime sell high candidate in fantasy formats.
