Yerry Rodriguez Serving As Starter For Rangers
1 year agoTexas Rangers right-hander Yerry Rodriguez, not Cody Bradford, will make the start on Tuesday against the division-rival Houston Astros. It was previously reported that Bradford would get the nod for a spot start on Tuesday, but the Rangers have changed their minds and are now going with the 25-year-old Rodriguez. Rodriguez will be making his first major-league start and won't be a recommended DFS streamer in a tough matchup against the 'Stros. Bradford could be the bulk reliever, but neither he nor Rodriguez will likely throw many innings in this one. Rodriguez has a 5.06 ERA (3.28 FIP), 1.59 WHIP, three walks and 11 strikeouts in just 10 2/3 relief innings over 11 appearances out of Texas' bullpen in 2023.
