Yegor Chinakhov Rejoins Blue Jackets Lineup Saturday
2 days agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Yegor Chinakhov will re-enter the lineup for Saturday's tilt against the New York Rangers. He was scratched in favor of Christian Fischer on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Fischer was ineffective in the game, finishing with zero shots on goal and a minus-one rating in a 4-0 loss. Columbus will send him back to the press box on Saturday. Chinakhov has tallied seven goals and 14 points in 25 games this season. He was among Columbus' top forwards early in the season before sustaining a back injury. The Russian forward has not registered any points since returning to the lineup last week. He has been limited to 12:12 of ice time per game. Fantasy managers should currently look past Chinakhov, but he may provide value over the final few weeks of the season once he has regained his sharpness.

Yegor Chinakhov Returns From 39-Game Absence
2 weeks agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Yegor Chinakhov (back) is good to go on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning after being sidelined for 39 games. It has been a long road back for Chinakhov, who last played on Nov. 27. He reportedly consulted with at least six doctors, including one in his native Russia, to resolve his back issue. Chinakhov started the season with a five-game point streak and has tallied 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 21 games. On Tuesday, he will return to action on the second line and is expected to spend time with the second power-play unit.

Yegor Chinakhov Available On Saturday
5 months agoColumbus Blue Jackets right wing Yegor Chinakhov (lower body) will play against Minnesota on Saturday. There was a question mark hanging over Chinakhov after he was hurt in the previous game and didn't participate in Friday's practice, but the Russian winger isn't forced to miss any games. It's great news for the Blue Jackets, as Chinakhov has been one of the team's best players early in the campaign. With four games played, Chinakhov has tallied two goals and four assists, sharing Columbus' scoring lead with Kirill Marchenko. However, Saturday's matchup is a tough one for Chinakhov and the rest of the Blue Jackets' frontline against a team that is tied for the sixth-best defensive record in the league.

Yegor Chinakhov Hurt Versus Montreal
1 year agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Yegor Chinakhov couldn't complete Tuesday's contest against Montreal due to an upper-body injury. He left the action after seeing 4:47 of ice time. Chinakhov has been in a bad slump lately, but his season has gone well overall, with the 23-year-old tied for fifth in scoring on the team with 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) through 53 appearances. Following Chinakhov's early exit, Alex Nylander logged a lot of time with the first line on Tuesday and could be the Russian's replacement again on Thursday versus Ottawa.
