Yasmani Grandal Exits Monday’s Game Early
3 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (leg) was removed from Monday's game against the Twins with an apparent leg injury. He was helped off the field after sustaining the injury on a check swing. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time and the White Sox catcher is considered day-to-day. Grandal went 0-for-2 with a walk before exiting. The 32-year-old was dealing with calf tightness entering Monday's game, but it's unclear if the injury is related or it's a new issue. Zack Collins would see an increase in playing time if Grandal were to miss any games. Collins has been an offensive force recently, hitting .300 (6-for-20) with one homer and seven RBI over his last six games. The 26-year-old can be used as a streamer and in two-catcher formats while he's wielding a hot bat.
