2 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (back) is dealing with a minor back issue, per manager Pedro Grifol. Grifol described it as a "quick spasm" that occurred about a week ago. The veteran catcher has been playing through the issue, which is nice to see, but it's unclear how it's affecting his play. The White Sox did recall Pedro Perez from Triple-A Charlotte to take Eloy Jimenez's (appendectomy) spot on the roster. Seby Zavala is catching on Sunday against the Reds while Grandal is serving as the team's designated hitter.
