Yanquiel Fernandez Continues To Stay Hot Through July
4 months agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez has continued to stay hot in the batter's box through July through his second look at Double-A ball. Since July 1, the number 66th ranked prospect on MLB.com has held a stellar .341/.396/.545 line with two home runs and a 4:10 BB:K ratio. This is a significant improvement over the mediocre .247/.314/.403 line he held through June. Overall in 74 games at Double-A Hartford, the 21-year-old sits with a .279/.335/.430 slash line, eight home runs, 43 RBI, and a 22:55 BB:K ratio. Last summer, in his first 56 games at the Double-A level, he posted a mere .206 AVG. Fernandez has continued to improve at Double-A and is nearing a promotion to Triple-A. The number three-ranked prospect in the Colorado system remains on track to meet his 2025 major league ETA.
