3 years agoSeattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde likes playing the Edmonton Oilers. His goal just 49 seconds into the game on Friday opened the scoring. The quick strike came off a nice pass by Ryan Donato. Now, Gourde's defense was more the focus as the game wore on. He was on the ice for most of the final four minutes against Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. Gourde registered both of his blocked shots in that time. He played 19:38 overall and nearly four minutes combined on special teams. It is that versatility that has paved the way for his strong start (16 points in 20 games).--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
