1 year agoThe New York Yankees are one of the most serious suitors for free-agent outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger so far this offseason, and MLB Network's Jon Morosi expects that will remain the case as the offseason unfolds. The Chicago Cubs, Yankees and San Francisco Giants are the three teams believed to be the most interested in signing Bellinger after a big bounce-back season he had for the Cubbies in 2023. The Yankees could really use some left-handed power bats in their lineup. Aside from two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, Bellinger is the best position player available on the open market this winter. The 28-year-old was the National League MVP in 2019 with the Los Angeles Dodgers but then fell apart from 2020-22 before rebounding to the tune of a .307/.356/.525 slash line with an .881 OPS, 26 homers, 97 RBI and 20 steals in 130 games for the Cubs in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
