Yankees See Brandon Drury As Trade Chip
6 years agoNew York Yankees versatile infielder Brandon Drury might be on his way out of the Bronx. According to MLB Network Insider Jon Heyman, the Yankees offered Drury in a potential trade for now-Cleveland Indians reliever Brad Hand. With Drury being relegated as more of a support player on the Yankees roster, it would seem the team is using his versatility and his performance in the minors this year as trade bait. As such, it is safe to assume that Drury — and not one of the Yankees' more prized prospects — will be a large part of any trade package the team offers for their reported targets, like Zach Britton or J.A. Happ. Stay tuned for more updates as the trade deadline nears.
