2 years agoThe New York Yankees reinstated right-handed reliever Scott Effross (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list on Thursday. Effross should return to a high-leverage role near the back of the Yankees bullpen over the final few weeks of the regular season. The 28-year-old has a 3.24 ERA (3.47 FIP), a 1.08 WHIP, one save and eight strikeouts in just 8 1/3 innings pitched for the Yankees since being acquired from the Chicago Cubs in a deadline-deal trade. Clay Holmes should continue to see most of the team's save chances over the final several weeks of the regular season, leaving Effross little fantasy value outside of much deeper formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
