6 years agoThe New York Yankees placed catcher Gary Sanchez on the injured list on Friday with a left calf strain and recalled Kyle Higashioka from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. This is extremely disappointing for Sanchez's fantasy owners, as his injury wasn't expected to be serious and he even pinch hit in the game on Wednesday. The 26-year-old was a big disappointment last year due to injuries, so hopefully this calf strain doesn't keep him out too long. It's been pretty much all or nothing for Sanchez this year; six of his 11 hits are homers. Austin Romine will do most of the catching now with Sanchez on the shelf, making him attractive in two-catcher formats for the time being.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
